Application "Tips"
Tips For Using A Heat-Setting Tool & Applying HotFix Crystals- The unit takes approximately 2 minutes to heat up…make sure it is fully heated before you begin! Always keep the unit on the support stand when you’re not using it.
This Heat-Setting Tool Gets Extremely Hot...Do Not Touch Skin With Hot Applicator! - Use the small,flat-tip attachment included...it sits on top of the crystal, not on your fabric!
- Work on a clean, hard, flat surface.
(Take protective measures if surface is heat-sensitive.) - Use a tweezer to position the crystals where you want them on your item, glue side down.
- Place the heat tool on top of the crystal with a slight pressure; hold for 5-10* seconds.
- Check to make sure the crystal has fully adhered. If not...just re-heat until secure!
Always Read And Follow The Use And Safety Instructions Of The Manufacturer. Keep Away From The Reach And Unsupervised Use By Children.
Items may be gently machine washed up to 140 degrees, are machine dryable and also may be dry-cleaned. If ironing, press from the wrong side with a dry iron.
* When applying any size of PEARLS or size 16SS crystals, you may need to hold the applicator on the crystal longer, approximately 15-20 seconds or until secure. | | | Application Method Using The Concave Tips:- Select the right size concave tip for the size crystal you are going to apply.
- With the crystals "face up" in your beading tray, lightly pick the crystal up with the applicator tip.
(I find "lightly" to be the operative word! If you push down too hard, you'll get the crystal too far up in the tip...although the glue will still melt, the crystal may not come out easily, and you’ll spend a lot of time "picking" it out of the applicator with your tweezers! You may want to practice this technique a time or two!) 3. With the crystal still in the applicator tip, wait the 5-8 seconds for the glue to melt first. (perhaps longer, if working with the SS16’s.) If you hold the applicator at an upward angle, you will actually see the glue melt, so you’ll know when it's "done!" 4. Once the glue has melted, the crystal is now ready for you to simply “touch-apply” it in place! (The crystal should easily come out of the applicator. If not, use the tweezers to "pick it out" (re-read #2) Remember….both the applicator and melted glue are very hot...please be careful! |
